Why not visit Corkagh Park and visit the recently upgraded playground and fairy trail. Enjoy a picnic on the beautiful grounds.

You can enjoy a beautifully scenic walk through Massey’s Estate and then walk up to the Hellfire Club and enjoy a nice picnic.

Visit Saint Enda’s (Pearce) Museum to see fifty acres of beautiful parkland and learn about the extensive history behind it.

Great Half Day Ideas (2-4 hours)

Why not work up an appetite and take a walk through the beautiful Cruagh Woods and then take a trip to the nearby Merry Ploughboy Pub for some homely food.

If you are interested in history and you want to get the kids out and about, visit Rathfarnham Castle in the morning, the kids will love the playground. Grab a quick bit to eat at the Rathfarnham Castle Cafe. Then visit Saint Enda’s (Pearse) Museum absolutely free and St. Enda’s Park on the grounds for the kids to burn off that extra energy.

If you are in the mood to hike up a small mountain with plenty of history and beautiful views of Dublin then the Hellfire Club is the place to be. Take in the beautiful views, the wildlife and the history. Then why not go next door to the Timbertrove Café for lunch or for some snacks.

Take to the treetops and visit Zipit for a fun filled thrilling experience and once you have run out of adrenalin you can visit the Merry Ploughboy Pub for some homely food.

If you are feeling like great outdoor fun with your friends or a work day out, why not visit play a round of rugbygolf at Footee very close to Bohernabreena Reservoir in the Dublin Mountains. Then get a bite to eat in The Old Mill Bar just two minutes down the road.

Visit Corkagh Park for some sporty family fun and its petting farm. Then treat yourselves in Pandini’s Restaurant just up the road.

Take a walk through Saggart Woods and have a spot of lunch in the landmark pub An Poitin Stil

Try your hand at some indoor rock climbing at The Dublin Climbing Centre in Tallaght, then shoot next door to The Square Tallaght for some retail therapy after your climbing experience.

Experience rafting in Lucan with rafting.ie on the River Liffey, then relax and dry off in the Palmerstown Inn for some nice warm food.

More Family Fun

Take the family for a fun day out swimming in one of our many Leisure Centres such as Tallaght Leisure Centre, Lucan Sports & Leisure Centre or Clondalkin Leisure Centre.

Head on over to Tymon Park to explore and play in the playgrounds hidden within. Afterwards why not head on over to Greenhills road to the insta-famous Cluck Chicken Truck and be sure to tag us in your instagram pics 🙂

Why not pack a picnic and take the family on a day trip to one of our many beautiful parks where the kids can run free, use the playgrounds and play sports.
