Lantern Making Workshop
Unwrapped 2018: A Winter Festival of Lights for all the family!
Unwrapped Festival marks the beginning of the winter festive season. Join in the festivities by taking part in a lantern making workshop on October 20th. Throughout October/November lantern making workshops will take place every Saturday (excluding Saturday 27 October) at Rua Red. The workshops are suitable for all ages. Come along and have a go!
You, your family (and your lantern!) are invited to then take part in the Unwrapped lantern parade that will take place on Dec 1st. This year’s theme is Return to Tír na nÓg and there will be music, singing and the lighting of the Christmas tree by Mayor of South Dublin County, Cllr. Mark Ward.
Booking is essential. Workshop places are limited and book up fast! Your €5 fee covers the cost of your lantern lights. All welcome.
There will be two daily workshops led by artists from Tallaght Community Arts.
Two available times:
- 11 am – 1pm
- 2pm – 4 pm
