International Liffey Descent 2018
The 59th International Liffey Descent will be taking place on Saturday 15th September 2018! Dublin’s Outdoors is delighted to be an official sponsor of the event.
This is an inter-club event and the illustrious Liffey Descent kayaking race now attracts paddlers from many parts of the world. It’s a major event on the international calendar.
Approximately a third of entries are in the true racing classes and the remaining places are taken up with ‘fun’ paddlers who are there to enjoy the event no matter how long it takes them to get to the finish line. The challenge is will they make it to the finish without a swim!
The race course starts within the grounds of the world famous K Club in Straffan, Co. Kildare and finishes at the Garda Boat Club, Islandbridge, Dublin.
After the race, there is plenty of time and space to network and socialise when competitors, volunteers and their families congregate in the welcoming clubhouse. There is also the world famous after-race party at the race finish.
